A cash award of Rs.10.00 lakh is given to the villages where caste free burial grounds are in practice. The award amount is utilized for the development activities of that village. Under this scheme 3 Villages per districts (expect Chennai) are selected. An amount of 19.9 crore was 63 released to 63 villages, 70 villages, 66 villages during 2021-2022, 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 respectively.
