Selection of the best villages with social harmony

An amount of Rs.10.00 lakhs is given to select villages from all the districts of Tamil Nadu (except Chennai), which practice social harmony without observing untouchability.

Under this scheme, villages in 37 districts benefited during 2023-2024 at a cost of Rs.3.70 crore.

During 2024-2025, an amount of Rs.3.70 is allocated.

Abstract of Schemes Adi Dravidar Welfare Department is implementation of State & Central welfare schemes to uplift the Socio Economic conditions of SC/ST and to provide civic amenities in the SC/ST habitation and to achieve the goal of ensuring Social Justice and Social Equality towards achievement of 2047.
